Removal
NOTICE:
During the removal or installation of components, cap, tape
or otherwise appropriately protect all openings and tubes/fittings to
prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove caps, tape
and other protective materials prior to installation.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Recover the refrigerant. Refer to the appropriate Recovery procedure in Group 412.

Remove the A/C compressor inlet line nut and disconnect the fitting.

Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
Torque:
159 lb.in (18 Nm)

Remove the A/C line bracket retainer.
-
Remove the A/C compressor inlet line nut, disconnect the fitting and remove the A/C compressor inlet line.
-
Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
Torque:
Bracket retainer:
89 lb.in (10 Nm)
Compressor inlet line nut:
159 lb.in (18 Nm)
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTICE:
Only use the specified material to lubricate the seals.
Install and lubricate new O-ring seals. Refer to the appropriate Specifications in Group 412.

Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount
of clean PAG oil. Refer to the appropriate Refrigerant Oil Adding
procedure in Group 412.

old unit, carry out the following procedures to remove contamination
from the A/C system...

No factory-equipped vehicle should have more than a 25 mA
(0.025 amp) – 50 mA (0.050) draw depending on the vehicle's accessories.
Check for current drains on the battery in excess of 25 mA (0.025 amp) –
50 mA (0.050) with all the electrical accessories off and the vehicle
at rest for at least 75 minutes (depending on region)...
