Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

Remove and discard the clamp.

Remove the isolator bracket studs and the muffler and tailpipe assembly.

NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
NOTE:
Left-hand side shown, right-hand side is similar.
Remove the isolator bracket studs.
Torque:
18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Detach the isolator and remove the bracket.
Installation

Clean all exhaust connections before reassembly.

Position the muffler and tailpipe assembly in the vehicle and install the isolator bracket studs.
Torque:
18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

NOTICE:
Ensure that the service clamp is centred
correctly over the joint, failing this could result in joint leaking.
NOTE:
Make sure that a new clamp is installed.
Install the new clamp.
Torque:
17 lb.ft (23 Nm)

Check the exhaust system for leaks.
