Ford Escape: Rear View Mirrors / Removal and Installation - Interior Rear View Mirror

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Mirror Types

Mirror type 1

  1. Release the clips and remove the rain sensor cover.
  1. Disconnect the interior rear view mirror electrical connector.

  1. Remove the interior rear view mirror.
    1. Loosen the set screw.
      Torque: 17 lb.in (1.9 Nm)
    1. Slide the interior rear view mirror upward.

Mirror type 2


  1. Remove the interior rear view mirror.
    1. Loosen the set screw.
      Torque: 17 lb.in (1.9 Nm)
    1. Slide the interior rear view mirror upward.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
