Removal

when working on an evaporative emission (EVAP) system or fuel-related

NOTE:

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

Remove the LHR wheel and tire.
Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04A Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).

Remove the rear LH wheel arch liner retainers and screws.

Remove the rear LH wheel arch liner retainers.
-
Detach the fuel flap release cable.

Remove the rear LH wheel arch liner retainers.
-
Remove the nut and remove the rear LH wheel arch liner.
-

Disconnect the electrical connector.
-
Disconnect the quick release couplings.

Remove the fuel vapor vent valve.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
