Removal

Remove the battery.
Refer to: Battery (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).

1. 1.5L Ecoboost vehicles only
  Release the retainer and position the heater hoses aside.
1. Detach the wire harness retainers from the battery tray.

1. Remove the battery tray nuts.
  Torque: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)
1. Remove the bolts and the battery tray.
  Torque: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)

Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
