Ford Escape: Body Closures / Removal and Installation - Liftgate Anti-Pinch Switch
Removal

Remove the liftgate trim panel.
Refer to: Liftgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

On both sides.
Disconnect the liftgate anti-pinch switch electrical connector.

On both sides.

Remove the retainers.

Remove the rubber grommet and route the electrical
connector out of the liftgate. Remove the liftgate anti-pinch switch.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
