Removal
NOTE:

Remove the floor console.
Refer to: Floor Console (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).

Release the clips and remove the LH trim panel.

Disconnect the electrical connector.
-
Release the clips and remove the trim panel.
-
Remove the bolts and the display unit.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
-
Remove the bolts, release the clips and remove the center instrument panel trim panel.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
-
Remove the bolts and the center HVAC register.
-
Disconnect the eelctrical connector.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
-
Release the clips and remove the lower finsih panel.
-
-
Release the stop and fully lower the glove compartment.
-
Remove the glove compartment check strap.
-
Lift the glove compartment off the hinges remove.
-
Remove the bolts, release the clips and remove the glove box close out.
Torque:
36 lb.in (4.1 Nm)

Remove the bolts, release the clips and remove the lower trim panel.
-
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

Disconnect the electrical connector.
-
Remove the sesnor.
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Overview
The PATS
deters the vehicle from theft by preventing the vehicle from starting
unless a valid programmed passive key is detected inside the vehicle
when the START/STOP button is pressed.
PATS does not disable a vehicle that is already running...
