Ford Escape: Climate Control System - General Information / Removal and Installation - Passenger Side Temperature Door Actuator

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Open the glove compartment and remove the check strap.
    1. Fully lower the glove compartment.
    1. Lift glove compartment off the hinge piviot.
  1. Remove the bolts and the glove compartment close out.
    Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

  1. Remove the screws and the passenger side tempreature door actuator.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the Climate Control System Actuator Calibration following the on-screen instructions.
