Ford Escape: Automatic Transmission - Automatic Transmission – HF45 / Disassembly and Assembly of Subassemblies - Park Lock Actuator

DISASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the transmission case cover.
    Refer to: Transmission Case Cover (307-01B Automatic Transmission - Automatic Transmission – HF45, Removal and Installation).
    1. If equipped, cut and discard the tie strap.
    1. disconnect the park lock actuator.
  1. Remove the park lock actuator bolts.
  1. Disconnect and remove the park lock actuator.

ASSEMBLY

  1. NOTE: Make sure park rod is installed in the park rod guide.

    Connect and install the park lock actuator.
  1. Install the park lock actuator bolts.
    Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
    1. Connect the park lock actuator.
    1. Install a new tie strap.
  1. Install the transmission case cover.
    Refer to: Transmission Case Cover (307-01B Automatic Transmission - Automatic Transmission – HF45, Removal and Installation).
