Ford Escape: Acceleration Control / Removal and Installation - Accelerator Pedal

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. NOTE: To prevent setting DTC make sure the ignition is in the OFF position prior to disconnecting the accelerator pedal electrical connector.

    Disconnect the electrical connector, remove the nuts and the accelerator pedal assembly.
    Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
