Ford Escape: Information and Entertainment System - General Information / Removal and Installation - Satellite Radio / Global Positioning System (GPS) Antenna Cable

Removal

1. Remove the front door scuff plates.
   Refer to: Front Scuff Plate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Remove the front seats.
   Refer to: Front Seat (501-10A Front Seats, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Remove the floor console.
   Refer to: Floor Console (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Remove the LH loadspace trim panel.
   Refer to: Loadspace Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Remove the seatbelt buckles.
   Refer to: Front Seatbelt Buckle (501-20A Seatbelt Systems, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Lower the headliner.
   Refer to: Headliner - Lowering (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Position the floor carpet for access.
   

1. Disconnect the satellite/GPS antenna connector.
   

1. Disconnect the satellite/GPS antenna connector.
   

Installation

1. Cut the end off the satellite/GPS antenna cable.
   

1. Cut the end off the satellite/GPS antenna connector.
   

1. 
   Install the new coaxial cable.
   
   • Route the new satellite/GPS antenna cable following the routing shown.
     
   • Secure the new satellite/GPS antenna cable, as necessary, to prevent NVH concerns.
     

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
