Ford Escape: Information and Entertainment System - General Information / Removal and Installation - Satellite Radio / Global Positioning System (GPS) Antenna

Removal

1. Lower the headliner.
   Refer to: Headliner - Lowering (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
   

1. 
   Remove the satellite radio/GPS antenna.
   
   • Remove the bolt.
     Torque: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)
   • Remove the retainer.
     

Installation

Existing antenna

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
   

New antenna

NOTE: If installing a new satellite radio/GPS antenna it is not necessary to remove the bolt from the satellite radio/ GPS antenna base.

1. Install harness through the opening and push down until the base is fully seated.
   

1. Connect the electrical connector.
   

1. Install the headliner.
   Refer to: Headliner - Lowering (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
