Removal
NOTE:

Remove the instrument panel.
Refer to: Instrument Panel (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).

Release the clips and remove the LH trim panel.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector.
-
Release the clips and remove the trim panel.
-
Remove the bolts, release the clips and remove the center instrument panel trim panel.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
-
Remove the bolts, release the clips and remove the center instrument panel trim panel.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
-
Remove the bolts and the center HVAC register.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
-
Release the clips and remove the lower finish panel.
-
Remove the bolts, release the clips and remove the lower trim panel.
-
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
-
Disconnect the electrical connectors, separate the wiring guides and position the harness aside.
-
Remove the screws and the ACM .
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

Remove the screws and position APIM the down.
Torque:
27 lb.in (3 Nm)
-
Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the APIM and bracket.
-
Remove the bolts.
Torque:
62 lb.in (7 Nm)
-
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
-
-
Release the stop and fully lower the glove compartment.
-
Remove the glove compartment check strap.
-
Lift the glove compartment off the hinges and remove.
-
Remove the bolt, disconnect the electrical connector.
Torque:
62 lb.in (7 Nm)

Disconnect the electrical connectors, release the harness retainers, and position aside the harness.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector, release the harness retaines, and position aside the harness.
-
Remove the bolt, disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the TCU and bracket as an assembly.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
-
Disconnect the electrical connector, remove the screws and the TCU .
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
-
Disconnect the electrical connectors, release the harness retainer, and position aside the harness.
-
Remove the bolts and the climate control housing.
Torque:
27 lb.in (3 Nm)
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
