Ford Escape: Engine Cooling / Removal and Installation - Coolant Pump

 Removal
 
 
 - 
 
 Drain the cooling system.
 Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding (303-03C Engine Cooling, General Procedures).
  
 
 
 
 
 - 
 
 Disconnect the electrical connector.
  
 
 
 
 
 
 - 
 
 Release the clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses.
 Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
  
 
 
 
 
 
 - 
 
 Remove the bolts, nut and the coolant pump.
 Torque: 
 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
 
  
 
 
 
 Installation
 
 
 - 
 To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  
 
 
 
 - 
 
 Fill and bleed the cooling system. 
 Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding (303-03C Engine Cooling, General Procedures).

	You open any door.
	You press a button on the remote 
	control.
	You press the all lamps on button on 
	the overhead console.
