Ford Escape: Automatic Transmission - Automatic Transmission – HF45 / Removal and Installation - Damper

Removal

  1. Remove the engine.
    Refer to: Engine (303-01C Engine, Removal).
  1. Remove the bolts and the damper.

Installation

  1. Install the damper and the bolts.
    Torque:
      Stage 1:  89 lb.in (10 Nm)
      Stage 2:  177 lb.in (20 Nm)
      Stage 3:  21 lb.ft (29 Nm)
  1. Install the engine.
    Refer to: Engine (303-01C Engine, Installation).
