Ford Escape: Exterior Trim and Ornamentation / Removal and Installation - Rear Spoiler

Removal
NOTE:

Open the rear tail gate.

Release the clips and remove the upper liftgate trim panel.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
-
Disconnect the electrical connector and detach the antenna button.
-
Remove the spoiler to liftgate fasteners.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
-
Remove the fasteners.
Torque:
53 lb.in (6 Nm)
-
Detach the grommets and harness retainer clip.
-
-
Remove the spoiler assembly.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector and washer hose.
Installation
-
NOTE:
Make sure to reconnect the washer hose and
electrical Connector before re-installing the High Mounted Stoplamp and
Spoiler.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
