Ford Escape: Supplemental Climate Control / Removal and Installation - Cabin Heater Coolant Pump

Hose Clamp(s)

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the front bumper cover.
    Refer to: Front Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).

    1. Disconnect the electrical connector and wiring harness routing clip.
    1. Clamp the coolant hoses, release and disconnect the inlet and outlet coolant hoses.
      Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s)
    1. Remove the retainer and the cabin heater coolant pump.
      Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Fill and bleed the cooling system. Refer to the appropriate procedure in Group 303.
