Ford Escape: Climate Control System - General Information / Removal and Installation - Driver Side Register

Removal

1. Release the clips and remove the trim panel.
   

1. 
   Remove the bolts and the display unit.
   
   • Disconnect the electrical connector.
     Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

1. 
   Remove the bolts, release the clips and remove the center instrument panel trim panel.
   
   • Disconnect the electrical connector.
     Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

1. Remove the steering column gap hider.
   

1. Remove the bolts, release the clips and remove the IPC trim bezel.
   Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

1. Release the tabs and remove the driver side register.
   

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
