Removal

Disconnect the battery.
Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

Remove the LHR wheel and tire.
Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04A Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).

Remove the retainers and screws.
Torque:
18 lb.in (2 Nm)

Remove the retainers.

Detach the quick connectors.
Refer to: Quick Release Coupling (310-00B Fuel System - General
Information - 2.0L EcoBoost (177kW/240PS) – MI4, General Procedures).

Loosen the hose clamp.
Torque:
35 lb.in (4 Nm)

Detach the clips and position the drain hose aside.
-

Remove the bolts.
Torque:
89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Remove the fuel tank filler pipe from the vehicle.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
